The Rocket City Dart Association is a Non-Profit Organization, based in Huntsville, AL, whose goal is to promote Darts in Northern Alabama and Southern Tennessee. Through various fund raisers and tournaments, we raise money for local charities such as; the Alabama Kidney Foundation,the American Diabetes Association, Ability Foundation, Marine Toys for Tots,and various Youth programs. Every January the RCDA hosts Shoot for the Moon, a $15,000 tournament, in which darters from all over the country come to compete. We offer a Tuesday night league, which features 4 Divisions with 6-8 teams per division,singles leagues, and doubles leagues. Many Blind Draws are also offered during the week. We welcome everyone, regardless of skill, who is interested in playing darts, whether it be for casual play or for league. Next Board Meeting - TBA Here's the schedule for the next round of ADO qualifiers. The format for this round is 501. Sat. June 2-Benchwarmer 12:00pm Sun. June 10th-Chips and Salsa 12:00pm Sun. June 17th - Sportspage 12:00 noon Finals: Saturday, June 23 -Chips and Salsa 12:30pm There will NOT be a C/D bracket this round. I encourage everyone to come out and try to qualify. For those who haven't come out to qualify previously, its a great way to practice your darts, and have fun...and it only costs $5 to play. It's a great deal!! It's a round robin format where all the guys play each other and all the girls play each other. The top two females and top two males from each qualifier advance to the finals. At the finals, the winners advance to the regionals, and the winner at the regionals go to the nationals. There's so much to gain and nothing to loose by coming out to qualify. End of season Party Will be held at the Half Time Grill June 9th. General membership meeting will start at 12pm. We will have elections for Secretary, Statistician, and Vice President. City Cup Championship Games for A/B and C/D will be played after the meeting, and than we will have a blind draw after presentation of Trophies. CONTEST - open to everyone We need a design for Next years Shoot for the Moon (2008),and next years Alabama State tournament (2007), and we want you to design it.The winning design will be used on the t-shirts. Entries may be submitted in any format available to you,and should have no more than 2-4 colors. You may submit your entries to Kenneth Precise no later than DECEMBER 01, 2007 for Shoot for the Moon 2008, and June 1st 2007 for the Alabama State design.
